 New doughnut shop opens this week in Rexburg

     REXBURG — Husband and wife team Paul and Chandra Scholes are excited to share their idea of perfect doughnuts with the upper valley. The new business is located at 16 S. Center St. in Rexburg at the former Great Harvest Bread location. Paradise Doughnuts originated in Oklahoma in 1967, Paul stated, but it is new to our area. In addition to a variety of cake and glazed doughnuts, the shop features baked and fried cinnamon rolls. The shop also has premium hot chocolate and coffee along with milk, juice and soft drinks to go with the doughnuts. The shop is now open Monday through Saturday as soon as the morning batch of doughnuts is ready, with final hours of operation to be determined in relation to customer response. Buying doughnuts and sweet rolls through volume orders for groups and families will reduce the cost, say the Scholes. “Come to Paradise and eat doughnuts,” said Paul. “They’re lovely,” added Chandra.
